We are very excited to announce Joanne Morcom as this year's winner of the DailyHaiku Editors' Choice Award for her week of haiku: Cycle 4, Week 15 (Volume 2, 2008). While there was some fierce competition, Joanne's week was selected for its beautiful simplicity and ability to capture unique and refreshing haiku moments.
(First haiku of Cycle 4, Week 15)
The Editors' Choice Award award is given to the most exemplary and inspirational week of haiku published on the site during the previous year’s contributor cycles, as collected in the yearly print edition. It showcases what we believe to be haiku excellence.
