grassy field
entices the sparrow’s flight
to the ground
no washrooms anywhere;
crouching behind a tree
i can hear everything now
leaves in my teacup
float helplessly in the sea
i stir with my spoon
pedaling over
a gravel road unpaved-
we crossed a bridge
strumming the guitar
i was given as a present;
sounds familiar
i photographed a
chipmunk running on the fence
where the wood had split
open notebook
confronts me with its blankness
